Skid steer clearing brush on a wooded lot

What Forestry Mulching and Land Clearing Cost in Chattanooga

Price guide

The number moves with the woods, not a flat rate on a homepage

Published regional benchmarks for light brush mulching often land in a few hundred to around fifteen hundred dollars an acre. Selective mulching and thick hardwood undergrowth are commonly discussed in a higher band, sometimes past two thousand dollars an acre. Full grubbing and haul-off sit higher again because the roots leave the property. Those are industry ranges, not an ASAP Forestry bid.

Your price depends on stem size, slope, how the trailer gets in, whether chips can stay, and how far we haul from 250 Cassidy Lane in Ringgold. A small lot still pays a mobilization. Send acres, photos, and the end use through the contact form or text 423-315-6068.

These are the land services described across our site. Each card links to more detail on the main services page.

Forestry mulching

Grind brush and small woody growth into a chip layer that stays on the ground, useful when you want vegetation reduced without a full haul-away.

Site considerations

Per acre versus the clock

Hourly billing punishes you if a small machine is slow in thick brush. We would rather price the acre and the finish you asked for, then tell you the mobilization before anyone drives.

Haul-off, separate stump grinding, a path cut just to reach the work, fuel on a long tow, and rock that stops the head are the add-ons that surprise people. Mulching that leaves the chips avoids the dump-truck line. A slab cannot sit on that mulch, so grubbing is a different invoice.

Renting a mulching head for a day can cost as much as hiring the job once you add delivery, fuel, and the risk of a track or hose on a Chattanooga slope. We do not rent the machine.

FAQ - 01

Is this page a quote?

No. It explains what changes the price. A number for your lot comes after we see the brush, the access, and what you want left.

FAQ - 02

Why is grubbing more than mulching?

Mulching leaves roots and chips. Grubbing pulls them and usually hauls them. The second job needs more iron and more truck time.

FAQ - 03

Do you charge by the hour?

We explain both. A per-acre or flat project price is easier to budget. Hourly only helps if the machine and the woods match.

FAQ - 04

What should I send?

Acres or lot size, what is growing, whether you want pasture or a building pad, and how a truck gets in. Photos help.
